It's not that bad, I mean when I'm not going out in the boats or helping the men gut the fish I'm obee kaybee.
graemlins/erm.gif ok, exaggerrating slightly- in the winter and summer I tend to visit my grandparents on the Gaspe pennisula [in Quebec] and in the winter the snow goes past the roof and in the summerI am sent off to either help the men fish, pick berries from the fields or the acres of woods we have on our lands, or *shudder* gut and scale the fish.
I tend to not appreciate any of those activities... well the berry thing isn't too bad if it's the right season. So I run off to our beaches and use the clay to make sculptures, wander the caves, or if I'm feeling particularily stupid go for a swim in the salty ocean....
Nonetheless, a beautiful place. Ah, memories. I was finally able to get my mother to quit using her stupid favourite repetitive saying because of that place.
[ 'if your friends told you to jump off a cliff would you?' I was trying to get to the grotto without swimming through the underwater caves. I figured because of all the people going upward that's what they were doing too. Once I reached the top of the cliff I found them jumping off like lemmings inot the water. I couldn't find any better way down so i let them talk me into it and jumped to the rocky waters below.
My mother screamed and yelled at me for the rest of the day about that one]
So what are the phillipines like? warm, purple? lot of coniferous trees? Any people named Phil?
