I know this is a fairly common topic but I love music and I'm just in that sort of mood.

( I just performed my solo yesterday, everyone freaked out they couldn't believe it. I wore a black cat suit I made to look like the people from 'cats' (Including the tail, I had to wear headband ears though cause I didn't have enough material to make it any other way) My class were so amazed because they'd never thought I could actually sing that loud [normally quieter than the piano] I sung 'Memory' from Cats)

Okay now on to my main deal here, I want to know what everyone here likes listening to, what language bands the like. I can start Muahahahahaha! My very fave bands are Do as Infinity and The Pillows, my Fave song is 'Dreams come True' by S.E.S I found The pillows through FlCl and internet radio, I found out about S.E.S from one of my school friends from Korea, I heard Do as Infinity on the second ( might've been first) ending credits of Inu-Yasha 'Fukai Mori'
I listen to Some english bands, OLP, Treble Charger and classical music and chamber choir stuff. I like a large amount of DDR music and Chrono Trigger music. I love Lain and it's music, still Duvet is my fave in that category.
I like singing Japanese songs but I'm hoping to be able to work in Chinese and Korean songs to my repetoire. I mostly listen to Japanese music but english, korean, chinese, french, german,latin and some others find their way.
Well that's about all for me, my main point was to see what everyone likes in that department or if anyone has some songs they could reccommend bands etc...

mmm... well...

i listen to nice techno/ electronica, like Robert Miles and anime remixes.

anime opening music, random music when you search for anime in the p2p thingies... yup i do that. hee. i dont' know what half the stuff i listen to when i listen to that list is XD

i like boa, yes but only the four songs available for download at their website... tried the other stuff and its either really quiet and annoying or just plain not liked.

i like whatever my boyfriend sends me XD he introduces me to a band, i find more songs by them... hee but sometimes i dunno how popular the band is... like system of a down i had never heard of before and then... hee well i get surprised..

metal and heavy stuff, sometimes, like nirvana... well thats grunge but still... offspring, lost prophets, system of a down, POD, nickleback, soft cell... just listing now.

I listen to rock music. Mostly the older stuff though, I'm a big fan of classic rock. I'm one of the people who thinks that music was good until the late 90s hehe. I'd name bands, but there's too many.

Besides that, I listen to some classical and the orchestrated versions of certain songs. The only thing I'll listen too really that isn't in a language I understand is maybe an anime intro. I kinda like knowing what people are singing about hehe. My main musical hates are Country and Pop (any kind), and although I don't mind techno, I hate remixs... The only music I truely hate with a passion...

Hmm...Setsuri, whoever I mentioned that you called a 'DDR' group is not. They may have a song or three featured in DDR(or one of the 7 mixes), but that doesn't mean that they were created for the sole purpose of DDR. Everyone makes that mistake, and it annoys me...But don't feel badly, you ain't the only one. Anywho...Stuff, and bikaw

I'm quite aware that the groups you mentioned and I recognised from DDR music aren't based solely on that purpose they are just where I first learned of them, I have songs by Erotic and Smile that aren't on any DDR machines as well. It is the equvelent of calling BoA a Lain group, and honestly they weren't even asked by their 'record company' if they wanted Duvet to be used by an anime series. (there was a major coorporate thingy and their producers went Bankrupt and the band was pretty much screwed and then the company unser the table gave the song to pioneer to be used for the Lain opening and when the band found out about this they survived and went under a new label because of teh popularity they gained from something they didn't even know about)
Some People may now recognise BoA by their newest song 'Every Heart' which is the current ending theme to Inu-Yasha.

My friend Thuy was over and downloaded some music by bands from Korea and China she listens to and S.E.S was one of them. which version do you have Cherry?
(another BoA thingy, jeez they should just call me their promotion agant already with the amount of plugs I've given this rant)
I love 'Dreams Come True' by BoA it's another great song *my two fave songs have the same name ... that's weird, oh well! * ^_^
Oh and I just downloaded some Korean music awards that featured S.E.S and ... FinKl * another DDR group*
(yes, I'm spiteful and stupid and see the world the way I want and that is why I associate people and things with the first distinguishing thing that comes to mind, plus more people may understand you with constant referencing to things they may know and in my area .. I used to be tormented endlessly about my music but as soon as the arcade got 5th mix and 3rd mix of DDR they were asking if I could sing any DDR songs! * I'm a level 6 and I've been playing about 6 mon. on and off now, my brother on the other hand is ... plating step step revolution effortlessly, tormenting me, laughing while doing maniac level (more specifically catas) and .... FREESTYLING level sixs and sevens .... one day he will die* ... yeah, well that's it then huh?)
Gomen for my rant but meh? it's midnight and I've just finished being kicked around in Soccer ... I'm going to bed now, Oyasuminasai!
