Why do people like to bullshit about things? Like someone told me that my boyfriend hit his ex when they were dating, and that when I get off of the bus, he holds hands and flirts with this 6th grader named whitney...he is a fucking senior!!! he is not a pedifile! hate everybody and hates satan and worship god or what thier religion and the real ones are people who wears all black hates
life and everybod including thier family and they have to hate satan but still worships him and thats what a goth is ^_^

there's no such thing as "goth" anymore. its been overlabelled and overused, people nowadays think theyre "goth" just cuz they hack up their arms and wear black clothing and heavy black makeup and listen to said heavy metal and satanic shit, what a joke.

it used to be a way of life for those involved in the dark religion of Cthulhu, now people think its a fashion statement, sad really, originally it was a state of mind, well, whatever, such is the flow of time, things will be distorted... sorry for ranting just then...

Goths were a teutonic people in the 1200s who had something to do with Romans. In the late 70's their architectural genius was rediscovered by a group of fellows and placed hand in hand wit past writers like Edgar Allen Poe, Edward Gorey, etc. This evolved, mixed, and found it's way to becoming several kinds of Goths (now an evolution of Punk Rock). There was the Pagan Goth, worships the Devil etc. who most people believe ALL "goths" to be like. Then there was the Vampire Goth, love of Bram Stoker, Anne Rice, and other sch writers. Then just mopey, angry, and cheery goths who just lked to walk around showing off their black clothes and crap listening to deppressing music (Seig's definition). Later, came the goth writer/artist types who loved the style and feel of the whole genre and embraced it creating (in my opinion) beautiful works of only the greatest tastes. Later in the late 90's came the neo goth who no longerjust wore all out metal, huge boots, ange caked on make up, but just dressed darkly and expressed utter distaste for the world. One thing many of these people have in common is their want to be different resulting in a love for the mentally ill and an obsession at that because th mentally ill are SOOOO different. Anyways, there you go, I'm sure I left out a little bit but have fun with that info.

not to contradict you, but the goths are (or at least used to be) a Eurpean people and also there is a branch of Christianity called goth.

once again...I learned the thing about goth being a European people (from Age Of Empires II). more specificly they from the scandinavian area (I just looked on google and found that out). also I recently checked out the gothic bible and it is ALMOST identicle to the normal bible, there are a couple of exceptions (like the deciples not wanting to let Jesus see a deaf and dumb kid)
