normally i don't flame, but thispastweekend deserves it. i went to get my computer updated through an upgrade, 120GB HD, DVD Rom, and new Vid card; radeon 9200... SWEET configs....
wanyas, i took it to my friend uss' he said "I co-oped at a computer store all last year.... ive been ewrokingw ith computers most of my life, i can d it or you in ten minutes..." damned idiot...
Russ, Joel, a freind of mine cracked Anna open (Yes, my computer is named Anna). they installed teh new stuff. then tehyaccidentliy set teh HD drive the OS isnatlled to SLAVE!!!!! the idiots tehn refused to acknowledge that fact, they figured it muist be summat wrong with the motherboard, not teh hardware configs. so, they start ripping and tearing... next thing yuo know, a 20 minute job has become a 2 DAY job. we were up teh whole nightw ith this thing, at one point we started tearing cables off themotherboard from teh powersupply. BAD IDEA.
now, i've got no power to the power switch, reset switch, or tehLEDS. jjust pull teh cord for turn off/on. no worries i think, i'll get teh documentation for teh board and lug teh wires in. NO I CAN'T!!!!
its a little known board thats been disconitued. the labels on teh power supply portsread "Gx+p" and something akin to "N-X" i have NFC what goes where. no porbelm, just find documentation. the manufacturer does not give teh exact specs liek that out on tehir website. they say use teh manual your suppplier gave you. MY SUPPPLIER NEVER GAVE ME A MANUL!!! every time i've ever had anything installed at Computer Warehouse in Oshawa or Whitby they ahve never once given me anything back. i got them to install a cd-rw drive, did i get teh driver disc back? NO. did tehy give me the documentation i should have gottten with Windows when i bought teh thing brand new? NO. did tehir office go under from lack of sales YES>
so now i need to contact a BS company who doesn't have an office in Oshawa anymore and ask tehm to give me summat tehy shouldhave in teh first place. damned Arseholes...
untill i get the docs, Anna is still running, but she's not near as healthy as she was.
moral f teh story... never buy No-name brand parts, never get your friends named Russ to installanything for you, and always always get yuor doumentation.

That was a small flame...
and a confusing one too!

noo, not too confusing, but I'll translate, essentially russ is a thug with the inteligence of one and should never be let near the inside of a computer to begin with. Second joel is a tinkerer he is intelligent but not likely to admit when he screws up.
Lastly, Oshawa bites, never ever ever!!!!!! trust anything from any store here, you're liable to be dissapointed. if you want working things go to toronto and get them or do as Joel and order over the net.
[now doesn't this make more sense? off to wave a sign, and possibly find my kitty ears]

lol, s\Set, you summed it up quite nicely. there is moere tothis hellspawn of a story though.
Monday night i formatted teh new hard drive so it could work and i could use it to put stuff on. then last night, tuesday, i decided to parition it. i boot off teh partition magic diskette, and try to get it working. there is a critical error. i abort, no effect. Retry, no effect. Fail, no effect. Ignore, no effect. no worries, i'll just boot into windows, and make a new copy of the diskettes.
windows executables will not load.
no worries, just boot into wondows in safe mode.
windows executables will not load.
no worries, use the last known good configuratin,
windows executables will not load.
alright, lets try it with Autaomatic System Recovery.
I need a diskette to do this that i never made.
no worries, i'll boot of teh windos install disc, install windows on the new hard drive, and copy the files over in order to access them. I fu\igured, while i have the patitioning option open, i'll break up the 120 and install XP on one of them. small prole,, it also recognizes teh C:\ drive as an unkown formatting system , it automatically formats this drive before getting to the new ones. I was in another room at this point in time.
I return from eating to find that i had done the one thing i wanted not to have happen ever again. i lost my files.
so, now i'm copmpressing al tehdrives, trying to redo 6 months worth of work on my system, and go to school at teh same time. i lost a dozen differnet skin rojects i was working on, at least twice that in contract info, i have to find and re-install SP1 (I'm used illegal WinXP Pro, so i can't use officvial channel). i have to go trhough another relentless headache.
if i didn't know any better i would say that Anna has a personal vendettta against m,e. i swar to god, the first chance i get i'm taking a fscking ahmer to this crazy b1tch.
Still say it's too long to be called a small flame...

and yeah, Joe and Trevor are idiots. allbeit idiots who happen to have very unique idiosyncrosies, but idiots nonetheless.

......wow that is deep..... not really but over the past year i've become a romantic
Setsuri

hmm having known trevor only a year i'll agree to that having known Joe for 9 years now going on ten I'll certainly agree to that, I used to have to tutor him when I was in grade three, and he was in grade four.. should have been in grade five or six.. I forget now.
[sad part is he can't blame it on drugs like his brother -_-']
Val, i was joking aout the fact that I am a bit of a ditz.. albeit purposely i still doesn't change the fact at school i act like a moron whenever i'm not in classes [some of my firends used to find my switch between genki and solemn class attitude creepy but it's just too much fun not to]
On another note most of what ou're listing road are archtypal based emotions, we canalways route things back to them much like i could find a way to relate everything to bunnies it doesn't mean much it just means that our mind is capable of building logic around that structure. nothing is completly solid and confirmed no matter how long we work to prove it, there are always exceptions to the rule, much like the exceptions we have to rules in teh english language *I'd get into examples but one of those exceptions are canadian and american spellings]
Good for the becoming a romantic, we always need positive people out there, i'm an optimistic realist I take the realistic point of view and then if I really don't want to deal with it I smile and carry on as if it never happened.

Aye, it can be a bit misleading at times. I just chock it up to oneof your unique character trairts. besides, if you can't have fun in one way or another, the day has been wasted.

Aye, congrats on being able to achieve summat nota ll people can. if i had a chouice iw ould become a romantic. however, i've been tainted by my journey in this life. ignorance may bebliss, but if yuo were given a choice between living in a colourful world, or living in a colourful world wher eyuo feel pain? personally, i'd choose the colourful pain; experience is gained trhough activity.

Assistance will arrive shortly. I'm sure this goes as a natural common law or everybody yuo talk to.

yes, since this is a flam thread even if it's off the topic of the original purpose.
MY brother is a meanie!!!!
I had so much trouble going to sleep yesterday night because bren passed me a glow stick and I twirled it and it was broken and got in my eyes and hair and pilow and bunnies and everything!
So I had blue glowing eyes, hair hands wall pillow and bunny keeping me from sleep, especially glowing eyes... it's like having a light on that you can't turn off.
Did scare my mom though, wasn't all that worried since we've already had that hapen with glow sticks [when they first were released my mom bought it wanting to know what the new product was, when she did bren broke one and got it in his eyes, mom speed dialed poison control and from then on we found the packages had a non-toxic label on them and a drawing of a face and a stick person craking it in their face.]
yeah, so even though I wasn't worried it was creepy and it really really is hard to sleep with glowing eyes, so my brother needs death, even though he 'swears' he didn't break it before passing it to me.
