AnimeBB Members,
It has come to my attention that there has been a lot of threads that has degrated in quality and has gone way off-topic within the threads.
I was disappointed in having to close more than 4 threads this morning that were on the level of spamming. I also regret in having to post this topic as a global post, however some things are necessary to make a point. There is no need for apology threads or any of that sort. I want everyone to just be aware of certain things that are not tolerated on AnimeBB.
Now AnimeBB is very open to any topics that anyone wants to talk about. HOWEVER, chat room/spam type behavior actions are not allowed here. I realize that its a first offense and so there is no need for anyone to get worried about it.
Basically I want you all to know that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. Those kinds of things belong in a Chat Room, not a message board.
After a certain point (# of posts) I initiate a rating on a member based on the quality of posts that person has done. Now note that an administrator's rating on a person is weighted differently than that of a normal member, so think about this while you are posting topics.
Make sure you are in the right realm and make sure that it is not Chat Room oriented type. One or two word responses are OK to a point, however once I start seeing nothing but one liners for appx 10 threads to 100 threads, I take this as a spam and I will not hesitate to close the thread or even delete it.
There are other message boards where this kind of action is welcome, but not on AnimeBB.
Again, no one should be worried about this thread, this is only a warning and should be taken as an informational thread.
I do not regard my members as adults or children. We are all members here that contribute to the community. Please make an effort to conduct yourselves in this manner and to make lively topics that will initiate good conversations.
